The Worcester Child Development Head Start Program will be using the book, Not a Box, by Antoinette Portis to guide their STEAM exploration for the celebration of MA STEM Week! All Head Start classrooms will be engineering creative designs for their classroom boxes using the engineering design process. This week long event will include visits from local builders and architects who will work cooperatively with the children to exchange design ideas and learn new engineering techniques. Families will also have opportunities to participate in events both in their children's classrooms as well as at home. STEM box kits will be created and made available for all families to use at school or at home.
